Terms of Use
These Terms of Use apply to the use of HuntGo, including the HuntGo app, website and related services.
By using HuntGo, you agree to these terms and to the rules that apply within the app.
Please read these terms carefully before using HuntGo.
1. What is HuntGo?
HuntGo is a GPS game that allows players to play different Hunts and game modes outdoors in the real world.
Players can, among other things, take part in Hunts, receive roles, form teams, use locations and perform game actions that depend on GPS and other technical features.
The exact features may vary depending on the HuntGo version, game mode, subscription or device.
2. Who can use HuntGo?
HuntGo is intended for players aged 6 and up.
For younger players, consent from a parent or legal guardian may be required before an account can be fully used.
When parental consent is required, it must be given by someone who is authorised to give consent on behalf of the player.
Parents and supervisors remain responsible for deciding whether a Hunt is suitable for the age, experience and surroundings of a younger player.
3. Your HuntGo account
You need an account to use certain parts of HuntGo.
You are responsible for providing correct information needed to use your account.
Only use your own account and do not try to access someone else’s account.
Keep your login details and other security information private.
If you believe someone else has gained access to your account, contact HuntGo as soon as possible.
4. Playing fairly and respectfully
HuntGo is about smart, active and fair play.
You are therefore not allowed to deliberately cheat, mislead other players outside the rules of the game, bypass technical security measures or exploit errors in HuntGo to gain an unfair advantage.
Bullying, threatening, intimidating, discriminating against, excluding or otherwise harming other players is also not allowed.
Game features where deception is part of the game mode may, of course, be used as long as this happens within the rules of that Hunt.
5. Playing safely
HuntGo is played outdoors in the real world. Every player therefore remains responsible for their own safety and for paying attention to their surroundings.
Traffic rules, instructions from emergency services, local rules and the actual situation always take priority over information or instructions shown in HuntGo.
Do not enter dangerous locations or private property without permission.
A GPS marker, checkpoint, player or other location in HuntGo never automatically means that the location is safe or accessible.

6. GPS and technical accuracy
HuntGo uses GPS, internet connections, maps and device data, among other technologies.
These technologies are not always completely accurate or continuously available.
Locations may temporarily be inaccurate and connections may be interrupted.
Never base safety decisions only on the information shown by HuntGo.
7. The role of the host
A host who organises or sets up a Hunt has an important responsibility for the chosen game setup.
The host must give reasonable attention to the playing area, game rules, participants, duration and safety of the Hunt.
A host must not knowingly use a playing area or game setup when it is clear that this creates an unnecessary safety risk.
HuntGo may provide tools and warnings, but cannot check every local situation in advance.
8. Prohibited use
You may not use HuntGo to:
- break the law;
- put other people in danger;
- threaten, bully or harass other players;
- gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data;
- bypass security measures;
- deliberately manipulate GPS, account or game data to gain an unfair advantage;
- deliberately exploit bugs or technical errors;
- spread malicious software or other harmful technical tools;
- use HuntGo for activities that do not fit the intended use of the service.
9. Measures against misuse
If a player breaks the rules, we may take appropriate action.
Depending on the situation, this may include a warning, removal from a Hunt, temporary restriction of features or suspension of an account.
In cases of serious or repeated misuse, access to HuntGo may be ended completely.
We aim to make any measures appropriate to the seriousness and circumstances of the violation.
10. Virtual items and rewards
HuntGo may include virtual items such as XP, levels, coins, badges, achievements, power-ups or other digital rewards.
These items have a purpose within HuntGo, but have no monetary value outside HuntGo unless we explicitly state otherwise.
Virtual items may not be sold, traded or transferred outside HuntGo unless HuntGo explicitly provides a feature that allows this.
11. Paid features and subscriptions
HuntGo may offer free and paid features or subscriptions.
When you purchase a paid product or subscription, the price, duration, features and any renewal terms will be clearly shown in advance.
Purchases made through Google Play, the Apple App Store or another external provider may also be subject to that provider’s payment and subscription terms.
Your legal consumer rights always remain applicable.
12. Availability and changes
We aim to keep HuntGo reliably available, but we cannot guarantee that the service will always work without errors or interruptions.
Maintenance, technical issues, updates, internet outages or third-party services may temporarily affect availability.
HuntGo may change, improve, replace or remove features when necessary for development, safety, technical reasons or the operation of the service.
If a change has significant consequences for users or a paid service, we will inform users when this is legally required or reasonably necessary.
13. HuntGo updates
To keep HuntGo working properly and securely, players may need to use the latest version of HuntGo.
Older versions may eventually no longer be supported.
Please install available updates when necessary to continue using HuntGo safely and correctly.
14. Intellectual property
The HuntGo name, design, software, texts, illustrations, characters, game concepts, logos and other parts of HuntGo may be protected by intellectual property rights.
Using HuntGo does not give you ownership of these elements.
You may not copy, distribute, sell or commercially exploit parts of HuntGo without permission, except where permitted by law.
15. User content
HuntGo may offer features that allow players to add their own content, names, maps, Hunts or other information.
You remain responsible for any content you add yourself.
Do not add content that is unlawful, offensive, dangerous or infringes the rights of others.
If HuntGo introduces public or shared user content features in the future, additional moderation and publishing rules may apply.
16. Privacy and personal data
We process certain personal data to operate HuntGo.
How we handle this data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy forms part of the information that applies when using HuntGo.
17. Deleting your account
You can delete your HuntGo account through the account settings in the app.
If you no longer have access to the app, you can submit a deletion request through our Delete Account page.
After deletion, some game progress, friends, achievements or other account data may no longer be recoverable.
18. Liability and personal responsibility
HuntGo aims to provide the app and services carefully, safely and reliably.
However, players remain responsible for their own behaviour in the real world, following traffic rules and local rules, and deciding whether a location or situation is safe.
HuntGo is not intended to be used as a navigation, safety or emergency tool.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

20. Changes to these terms
HuntGo continues to develop. This means these Terms of Use may be updated in the future.

21. Applicable law
These terms are governed by applicable Dutch and European law to the extent permitted by law.
Mandatory consumer rights in the country where a user lives will continue to apply where required by law.
